I recently purchased a bike trailer for an upcoming cycling trip to Switzerland and Italy. Ericka and I tried it out this weekend by riding to the surfing town of Ericeira. One encounters very few bike trailers in Portugal. As a result, we received a lot of positive attention from other cyclists.
Hauling a trailer behind a bicycle is an immensely satisfying experience. In addition to opening up a world of multi-day cycling possibilities, securing the load also provides the excitement that young boys feel when they first hook a Lego trailer to a Tonka dump truck. I've started using more trucker lingo. For example, I now refer to bikes without trailers as a "bobtails."
Other picture include a birthday party on the beach, a Cascais sunrise, and a ropes course field trip with students.
