At the start of May, I spent five days at an Outdoor School in Spain with my 8th grade students. It was great to hike in the Sierra de Gredos. The fairly arid, granite mountain range west of Madrid is home to thousands of very tame ibex.
Ericka and I continue to live the beach life. I'm in search of a Costco-sized bottle of sunscreen but they don't seem to exist here. We recently hiked to a remote beach that I spotted on Google Earth. Once we arrived, it became very obvious that we had discovered the local nude beach. This is sub-culture that I probably won't join. After all, nudity and sun take sunscreen demands to the next level.
